Nathan

A few days before Halloween, Nathan got stuck in a Halloween costume.  Not sure how, nor did I see him.  Samantha just brought him to me crying.  I held him for about a half and hour.  When I went to put him down, he wouldn't put any pressure on his leg.  He wouldn't even put it down.  So, after several Dr appointments, we found out that he had a compound fracture on his foot, just below the inside of the ankle.  It was stressful thinking that someone might topple on top of him and cause greater injury.  But, we made it and it seems to have healed just fine.  These little guys recover so fast!

Among some of Nathan's other frustrations in life is his speech.  It hasn't quite taken off and he gets super upset about not being able to communicate.  My sister-in-law, who is a speech therapist, had me make some laminated cards of things around our house than Nathan likes and uses.  We attached a magnet to the back and have about 20 pictures on the fridge.  No matter what he says when he points to a picture, we tell him good job!  We also copy the sound to help give him confidence in the sounds he is retrieving for the object.  He seems to be doing great.  Yesterday he said "shooo ah"  which was shoes off.  He's doing great!

This picture is just funny to me...busy boys.

Haley's special day...

Haley was baptized on November 20th and it was so wonderful!  She is an amazing little girl.  The day before, she and I went down to the temple to take her pictures in her beautiful dress.  She was in heaven!  On the way home, as we drank our Jamba Juice, she talked about how exhausting it is to pose and smile.  (Big..long...exhale!)  So cute.

The baptism service was the best baptism service I have ever been to.  It was amazing to see Heavenly Father speaking to Haley through the Bishop, Primary President and family.  She sat still the entire time and was completely engrossed in everything that was spoken.  I'm so happy for her and for the covenants she has made with her Heavenly Father.  She is such a great example to her little sister and brothers.  A great example to me.  Love you, Haley.

Nathn is two!

Here's a little photo-journal of Nathan's life so far.  I love seeing his progress and remembering the thoughts and feelings I had when these pictures were taken.
Nathan was so awake and aware of what was going on when he was born.  I remember him just looking at Steve.

He thought my Dad was so funny.  One of Nathan's talents is to make people feel comfortable.  He is not shy or affraid of people.  He'll just go up to people and start laughing.  It always brightens the day.

I really likes this picture.  I remember Samantha yelling, "Look!  He's standing!"

Yes, he was drinking muddy water.

Not a very good picture to end with, but funny.
Happy Birthday, Nathan!

Dallin is in Nusery!

My little Dallin is now in nusery as of last month.  He absolutely loves it.  His nursery teachers are the best and are so good with all 3 boys.  It's so fun to see him grow.  He likes to talk and notices little details.  He recognizes Jesus in the pictures at church and in our home.  So sweet!
